Kairos Vina is a charming, family-owned winery nestled in the picturesque region of South and Central Dalmatia. Named after the Greek words "Chronos" (time) and "Kairos" (the right moment), Kairos Vina was established by a family and their close friends who share a passion for winemaking. The vineyards are located above the historic town of Trogir, offering breathtaking views of the Adriatic Coast, where the mountains meet the sea.
The unique climate and soil conditions in this region create an ideal environment for growing high-quality grapes. The Mediterranean sun, rocky terrain, and refreshing winds contribute to the cultivation of fruity, flavorful varieties. At Kairos Vina, wines are crafted using natural yeasts and minimal sulfur, ensuring a pure expression of the terroir. The winery produces red and rosé wines from grapes such as Zinfandel, Plavac Mali, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Tempranillo. Notably, Zinfandel, known locally as Crljenak, was revived by Kairos Vina after nearly a century of neglect.
Before the vineyards were established, the land was home to Mediterranean shrubs and a variety of edible and medicinal plants. The winery prioritizes environmental health, ensuring that all practices support the rich biodiversity of the area. Write a reviewGreat winery, beautifully situated, the view during the wine tasting is breathtaking. Yes, the road there is adventurous, but doable. If you don't want to drive, you can also get picked up (within reasonable limits!). The wines are excellent, we bought two of the three we tried. ONLY two because the third was already sold out and we flew. The warmth of Goran and Maria is wonderful and we will go there again and again when we are in Croatia.

I had an incredible time at Winery Kairos! The stunning view took my breath away, creating a truly unforgettable ambiance. The wines I had the pleasure of tasting were nothing short of amazing; in fact, I ended up purchasing some bottles to take home. The host's kindness and friendliness added a personal touch to the experience, making it even more enjoyable. A definite must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking a remarkable blend of scenery, exceptional wines, and welcoming hospitality.

Google says they're closed, but they're open. You have to contact them via their website and email, which is easier. We did the wine tasting with two people and highly recommend it! Great view and delicious wine. Highly recommended if you're vacationing in Split or Trogir and want to do a fun activity. Only the road is unpaved and I don't think it's good for your car. So overall, really nice! P.S. It's also a great wedding venue.

Unfortunately I could not make it to the actual Kairos Vineyard but I was able to make it to the owner’s downtown wine bar where he organized a private wine tasting for 6 of us. It was an amazing experience! Good bites to eat paired with lovely wines in downtown Split. Thanks so much for your hospitality and would highly recommend to anyone interested in wine tastings around Split!

Once in a lifetime experience! Our travel agent arranged a private wine tasting and lunch at Kairos Vina. We were greeted by Ljubo and Goran (spelling??) and were treated to a fantastic afternoon full of great wine, conversation, and a fantastic lunch prepared by Ana. Just a relatively short drive from Split, planning a visit is well worth it and highly recommended!
