The vineyards at Principe di Tricase winery overlooks the beautiful Highland Valley of Ramona. There are about 4 acres of grapes that enjoy the breeze, which blows most of the day. The wines made at Prinicipe di Tricase are unfiltered with nothing but the grapes in it. There is no manipulation at all and no sulfites added to the wine.
These pure wines have also managed to gather several awards over the years.

The winery won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the 2014 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Similarly, they also had secured medals in the 2012 Riverside International Wine Competition, 2013 Orange County Fair Commercial Wine Competition along with a few others over the years.

With complete respect for Mother Nature and its surrounding, the staff at Principe di Tricase cultivates a wide range of variety of grapes in their vineyards. Some of them include Aglianico, Nebbiolo, Aleatico, Petite Sirah, Fiano, Nero D’Avola, Sangiovese, Teroldego, Primitivo, Malvasia Bianca, Piedirosso, Sagrantino. The charming countryside, surrounding the vineyards, is the main source that gives expression to these precious vines.

Winemaking Process

Taking care of family traditions and ecological balance, the harvesting of the best grapes is done, which are subsequently moved to cellar for fermentation. The actual magic begins in the cellar. In the large steel vats, fermentation takes place and then aging and refining of wines occur in wooden barrels. After efficient maturation under controlled temperature, the owner delivers the wines for bottling. These grapes are used to make excellent red, white, rose, dessert, and fortified wines. The wines produced here are sold under the label AVA.
