From Roots to the World: A Journey into Roberto Cipresso's Cellar-Laboratory

Roberto Cipresso, a winemaker who has made Montalcino his home since 1987, interprets wine as a landscape to be drunk: a tangle of roots, journeys, and returns, guided by a constant search for precision and wonder.

Today, its cellar-laboratory opens its doors to reveal the behind-the-scenes work of winemaking through guided tastings, immersive experiences, and customized itineraries. Here, Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino from Sangiovese grapes tell the story of the same strip of land in two distinct timeframes: one profound and meditative, the other immediate and vibrant.

Alongside the great house reds, production moves along Parallel 43 to delve into its "happy obsessions": I Punti, Pi Greco and Quadratura del Cerchio , labels where the synthesis and charm of the irrational crystallize into wine.

The journey then continues around the world, touching on the international projects designed by Cipresso: the light and wind of Mallorca , narrated through the four identifying grape varieties Manto Negro, Callet, Giró Ros and Prensal Blanc; Armenia of the thousand-year-old Areni grape variety; the California of the Central Coast and its Pinot Noir; up to Burgundy , capital of the terroir and concrete dream.

In addition to his own production, Roberto Cipresso offers his vision to cutting-edge companies and projects as an oenological consultant, overseeing every phase from vineyard to bottle.

We invite enthusiasts to Montalcino to experience this story firsthand. For those who wish to continue the experience at home, you can purchase wines online on the official website or access the rarest and most exclusive tiers by joining the Private Collection Wine Club .

Visit and tasting, but above all a journey into the world of wine with an exceptional guide, who shared with us experiences and stories of territories and people who put passion in what they do. Thanks Roberto!

Unplanned stop off en route to Montalcino. Despite being flat out organising a conference for tomorrow they took time out to give us a lovely unhurried tasting experience. Thank you Pietro!
