Wineries in Hungary are easily accessible by different means of transportation.

By Air

To visit the wineries in Hungary, there are 4 international airports, which would be convenient to fly into the wine regions.

1. Budapest International Airport (BUD) is closer to the regions of Etyek, Kunzag, and Aszar-Neszmely.

2. Sarmellek International Airport (SOB) is closer to Zala, Balatonboglar, Somlo and Badascony.

3. Gyor-Per Airport (QGY) will assist you to visit the regions of Sopron and Pannonhalma.

4. Fly into Pecs-Pogany Airport (PEV) to visit the wine regions of: Villany, Pecs, Szekszkerd, and Tolna.

By Car

To travel and visit the wineries in Hungary by car, make sure to get the Vignette toll sticker to use the toll roads.

Hungary can have harsh winters. So, if driving in winter, make sure to have winter tires.

Budapest is connected to all wine regions of Hungary:

Highway E71 will take you to the wine regions of: Matra, Eger, Bukk and Tokaj.

Highways E60 and E75 will take you to Kunzag and Csongard wine regions.

Highway E73 goes towards the regions of: Tolna, Szekszard, Villany and Pecs.

E71 takes you to the wine regions of: Badacsony, Zala, Balatonboglar and Somlo.

It was great It was great, Tibor, our tour guide did a fantastic job. Since we were the only ones there, we had a personal tour just for us (me and my girlfriend). The wine tasting also great, the wines are amazing. So 10/10 for tour guide, tour and wines. And also 10/10 for you as the middle man.
