Vineyards tucked between sea and mountains, Roman ruins watching over old vines, and bold flavors shaped by sun, soil, and centuries—Catalunya is a wine region like no other. With eleven officially recognized DOs, it offers an unparalleled variety of terroirs within just a few hours’ reach of Barcelona or Tarragona. Wine isn’t just made here—it’s lived.

Across Catalunya’s eleven Denominacions d'Origen (DOs), you’ll find a remarkable diversity of styles and terroirs. From the iconic sparkling Cava of Penedès, where organic viticulture and experimentation thrive, to the steep slate slopes of Priorat, producing intense reds from Garnacha and Carignan. Nearby, Montsant offers similarly powerful reds, shaped by rugged mountain terrain and a strong sense of place. Roman ruins—Tarragona has you covered!

To the north, Empordà brings together coastal influence and old vines, crafting elegant wines that bridge tradition and creativity. Inland, Costers del Segre surprises with its cool-climate expressions—think crisp Chardonnay and aromatic Pinot Noir—while Terra Alta stands out for its beautifully structured Garnacha Blanca and Mediterranean warmth.
