Pico Island Wine Cooperative - Picowines  

Gruta das Torres is a white wine made from 100% Arinto dos Açores grapes, carefully selected from centuries-old vineyards near the sea. After fermentation in French oak and aging on fine lees, it underwent a unique bottle aging for 15 months inside a 1,500-year-old lava cave, creating a constant, cool, and humid environment. This wine offers fresh grapefruit, araçá, and lime aromas with subtle notes of gunpowder, sulfur, seaweed, and sea air, delivering a layered, mineral, and volcanic character with a long, salty finish.
