The Fresnettes

Château de Targé  

The Fresnettes 2020 is a dry Chenin Blanc crafted from low-yield plots, hand-picked in multiple passes to ensure perfect ripeness and balance. This wine has been a cherished expression for nearly 20 years, known for retaining fresh white fruit aromas and a beautifully full, noble body that evolves gracefully over time. The vineyard benefits from sandy clay and silty clay soils over Turonian limestone, located on a slightly south-facing slope with excellent drainage and sunshine. Managed sustainably with grassed soils, hedgerows, and biodiversity zones, the estate follows strict Terra Vitis, High Environmental Value, and Organic Agriculture standards. Vinification embraces a traditional, slow, and careful method with a short maceration (2 hours) to gain texture before fermentation and aging in barrels for 9 to 11 months, depending on the barrel. Bottled in the fall following fermentation.
