Cuevas de Lecea 2019
Bodegas Lecea: A Legacy of Rioja Winemaking
Cuevas de Lecea 2019 is a “cave wine” crafted in the historic 16th-century cellars of the Lecea family in San Asensio. Made from old family vineyards with low yields and high quality, grown on clay-limestone soils, it produces an elegant, silky, and expressive wine. This limited edition of 3,500 bottles combines 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo, aged 20 months in barrels and 12 months in bottle. It features intense cherry-red color, aromas of red fruits, vanilla, and subtle spice, with soft, silky tannins and a persistent, full-bodied, complex palate. Ideal with grilled meats, stews, and garden produce. Serve at 16–18°C.
