Red and black fruit with notes of vanilla, black pepper and graphite compose a bouquet incredibly complex. This alluring wine is of great finesse and persistence, balanced by the lively acidity inherent in Maremma Toscana wines. A voluptuous body with a long finish and ripe tannins.
A very impressive bottle of wine for your dinner party or to enjoy with friends. This wine lends itself to classic Italian plates of ossobucco, a grilled Fiorentina steak or some Tuscan wild boar. It also pairs well with Venetian dishes such as baccala, or salted cod, or the array of fish and octopus plates served across the Veneto. Its lasting earthy elements and minerality work hand in hand with porcini mushrooms cooked in risottos or any of the seasonal funghi you can find. We have enjoyed highlighting the velvet chocolate undertones in this wine by opening a bottle with pudding or simply with chocolate.
