Fine ruby
Fine Ruby Port is a fruity, fresh, and elegant fortified wine from the Douro region. Made from Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Touriga Franca grown on schistous-sandstone soils with granite streaks at altitudes up to 600 meters, the grapes are hand-picked, destemmed, and crushed with a gentle maceration and constant churning during fermentation. The fermentation is temperature-controlled (28–30°C) until the perfect sweetness is achieved, then fortified with grape brandy. Aged a minimum of 3 years in stainless steel vats and oak casks, this Port has a deep ruby color with a garnet rim. Its nose is vibrant and youthful, full of ripe red fruits. On the palate, it is smooth, balanced, and fresh with a lively character and firm structure.
