Vinification
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G grapes undergo maceration for around 20 days at 30°C at the end of which the wine is put part in Barriques and tonneaux made of French oak wood and par in big barrels made of Slovenian oak wood for around 24 months, then refined in the bottle for a minimum of 12 months.
Tasting Notes
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG is a dark, powerful wine, it shows the more virile side of Sangiovese. Dark cherry, game, smoke, tobacco, incense, and licorice all flesh out as this dramatic, intense Vino Nobile shows off its personality. It is a bit rustic, yet also immensely pleasing for its sense of character and place. Ideally, it should be enjoyed with bold, full-flavored cuisine.
